The selections are carried out through a public call for applications open every year from December to the end of March based upon competitive criteria and addressed to recent Master’s degree graduates from any Italian University complying with the following requirements: ü Master’s Degree in · Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry · Biological Sciences and Biotechnologies · Pharmacy and Industrial Pharmacy ü Mark of the final thesis over 105/110 ü Experimental thesis ü Good knowledge of English ü Age under 27 Many actions of information addressed to potential beneficiaries are carried out, in particular through e-mail alerts to about 6.000 potential beneficiaries every year (using the Alma Laurea service - www.almalaurea.it) and the organisation of several informative meetings in the concerned Faculties of different Italian Universities. Some beneficiaries of former Unipharma-Graduates projects participate to these events and share their experience with the future trainees. The 50 final beneficiaries are selected among a large number of applications (320 in 2008). The applications are evaluated by a Commission composed by representatives of the partner Universities and by the Scientific Coordinator on the basis of the following criteria: · mark of the final thesis; · average marks of passed examination; · knowledge of English (tested by Shenker Institute of Rome through an oral and · written test); · Number of publications; · Former national/international experiences (Erasmus, etc).
